Sunday Night

Can't remember what I did this week, but some highlights: eating Red Mango frozen yogurt with mango and raspberry toppings (it's creamy and mildly sweet!); seeing Deerhoof at Le Poisson Rouge with Aaron (loud but an energetic and quirky performance); coming across one of the best personal essays ever, "The Referendum," by Tim Kreider. I must have read the essay like 10 times.

The problem is, we only get one chance at this, with no do-overs. Life is, in effect, a non-repeatable experiment with no control.

And my experiment of the day was to give facial a second chance. I like it, and I don't. The pampering is enjoyable, but the cleaning is not.

Now off to cooking a late dinner.

Met up with K & B tonight to see Julie & Julia. Such a joyful movie! A feast for the heart. Made my week, which was starting to go down hill...

Hopes for this weekend: gym class (cycling), some fall shopping (it's getting cooold), maybe a museum or park if weather permits.

Oh, and I'm going to try to start blogging again. Got inspired by the movie. Of course, then it would seem like I blog all the time. Ah well! I guess I'm just a blogger.
