Junior Boys

I trekked out to Brooklyn in one of the coldest nights of the year to see Junior Boys perform. They were promoting their new album "So This Is Goodbye" - a collection of songs that are at once futuristic and nostalgic. It was a short show, but energetic and hypnotic. Under the swirling disco rays, I closed my eyes and swayed my body to the pulsating beat. It felt so good.

From the song "FM":

...Through the crooked roads
and the static codes
on the hotel radios...

...And one more year
becomes one more year...

Walking in Rain

I walked in the rain for a long time, passing the crowds surrounding 42nd Street and Broadway, toward East, then North and then West. The rain water glistened and trickled in their peculiar lightweightness, like tears, full of feelings, over festive lights, ornamental colors, and throngs of passerbys.
